Dr. Sakurai graduated from the Washington State / Utah State Veterinary Program in 2017. She is originally from Arizona but moved back to Utah in 2017 after finishing her degree. She worked in general practice for about 5 years before transitioning to urgent care and emergency medicine. Dr. Sakurai enjoys the fast pace of veterinary emergency medicine and helping animals in their time of need. With emergency and urgent care medicine there is a new challenge every day, which allows her and the entire team to collaborate to help animals and their humans.

When not at Priority Pet Care, Dr. Sakurai enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 Shetland Sheepdogs, and a menagerie of cats; and spending time outdoors with her horse, Piper. She enjoys crafting, crocheting, and sewing in her free time (when she gets any).
